I D D E S S is hiring, come and join our retail team. We are looking for two dynamic and passionate retail sales experts who have a keen interest for fashion, clothing and all things handmade. The rolls we are looking to fill is one part time sales assistant one store manager.

W I D D E S S is a well established retail brand and our Ponsonby store has an amazing community of customers. We pride ourselves on the creation of our garments, brand and ethos that is reflected within our store as we have created a unique and intimate shopping experience. Some retail experience is necessary as we are looking for someone who is customer friendly, confident, dynamic and loyal.

We are a small team of like minded people who all love to work within the fashion industry. Part time retail sales position Job description -

You must be enthusiastic about clothing and retail and have a warm and welcoming personality. We are looking for someone who is helpful, informative and skilled with serving and assisting our customer connections. A paramount aspect of the job is customer relations, we value the services we provide to our customers and we require you to be comfortable and confident within this field.

The job will be sole-charge which requires you to be responsible for the opening and closing of the store and the safety and security of the shop during your shift.  The job will require you to be available for one to two days a week (one being a weekend day). The position will need to be worked through the Christmas period so we need someone who will be available during that time, and of course it will continue into the new year. 

 

Store manager and retail sales job description -

The same requirements outlined above apply to the Manager position, with these additions. The Manager at W I D D E S S has the important role of overseeing and managing our staff. This involves organising the roster, ensuring the staff are working to their best potential, and that the environment is conducive to this. You are also importantly the manager of the shop space, this involves implementing and upholding systems, maintaining an impeccable standard of presentation for the shop, and using your initiative to ensure that W I D D E S S is operating to a high standard of customer service. The Manager’s job is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running and upkeep of the shop with a keen attention for detail, including an awareness of the online store functions, stock handling and orders. You will be required to work a minimum of 3 days in our lovely Ponsonby store.
